Come join your preschool friends as we learn what makes mammals such incredible animals! There will be a 30-minute presentation by the naturalist, complete with furs and skulls! To park at the Nature Center, take the first right from the main entrance on Rt 23 (High St.)
Stay and explore the exhibits at the Nature Center or walk one of the many trails; there is also a playground to the left. This program is indoors, rain or shine! In celebration of Read Across America Week, Sutter Park is hosting a book drive for Nationwide Hospitals’s “Reach Out and Read Program. ” Donate your Gently Used Books by sending them to school with your child.
- New or gently-used books for children up to a 5th grade reading level
- NO books with religious or political messaging
- NO books with torn, molded or ripped pages
Reach Out and Read prepares central Ohio’s youngest children to succeed in school by partnering with doctors to prescribe books and encourage families to read together.
The Worthington Education Association cordially invites you to a kick-off celebration for the NEA’s Read Across America week. The night will celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday and promote early literacy with Nationwide Children’s Hospital and their Reach Out and Read book drive and Worthington Head Start Preschool on Friday, February 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the Worthington Community Center. Special guests include Worthington Public Libraries, Silly Dee Balloons, WKHS Men’s Lacrosse “Man Up” Program, costume characters and The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium! Please join us as we encourage families to participate in an evening of athletics, the arts and literacy!
Please feel free to bring your family and friends and donate a NEW preschool book/person to swim for FREE to benefit Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Worthington Head Start Preschool or swim at a rate of $8/adult and $5/child.

There are two meeting opportunities, Tuesday, March 3 and Wednesday, March 11. Both meetings will begin at 7 p.m. at the Worthington Education Center, 200 E. Wilson Bridge Rd. There will be cookie decorating with pre-baked shaped cookies, icing and sprinkles. Three crafts will be available in the library( a paper mitten to decorate, a beaded candy cane ornament, and a snowy picture frame foam craft), while supplies last.
There will be games and prizes in room 128 and the back hallway: a Mitten Matching game, Pin the Nose on the Snowman, and Hot Cocoa Marshmallow Toss.
Our Catalog Fundraiser sales will also be available for pick up in Room 128, 10:30a-2:30p; 5:30-7:30 p.m.. Pick up your order so your small student might not have to wrestle with that big box!
